Retail Market
The following presentation gives a detailed overview of the San Diego County Retail Market.
At the end of 2010 total inventory stood at 141.7 million square feet with a vacancy rate of 5.4%. Approximately 78,000 square feet was added to the market in 2010 and net absorption was 205,000 square feet. The countywide average monthly lease rate finished the year at $1.83 per square foot which was a decrease of 5.24% since the end of 2009.
The I-15 Corridor submarket achieved the lowest vacancy rate of 3.6% and the North San Diego submarket achieved the highest average monthly lease rate of $2.27 per square foot. The North County submarket had the highest vacancy rate of 8.2% and the East County submarket achieved the lowest average monthly lease rate of $1.42 per square foot.
